PROJECT 12 OF 53 · 2012
A Google Drive alternative for Freemail with video storage; built but never launched by Freemail.
In 2012 we designed and built an online document store for Freemail (as an alternative to Google Drive): a full redesign and implementation, with video storage and queued video conversion. The backend was written in PHP, like most of Freemail and videa at the time.
The service never launched: Freemail's operations were short of storage capacity and they did not dare take on a document store.
