PROJECT 34 OF 53 · 2017
Our own startup: a marketplace where developers sell licenses to git repositories; started as a hackathon project and went live.
GitBip was our own startup: a marketplace for git repositories where developers sell licenses to their own code and buyers manage them through familiar package managers (NPM, Bower, Gem).
It started as a hackathon project whose working name was haw1 ("hack a week"). We went on to launch the product live: we built the REST API, the website, the development environment and an import tool for loading existing repos into the marketplace. Development ran from March 2017 to May 2019.
